In democratic societies, journalism and news media are responsible for providing fair, balanced, and unbiased reporting to the public, facilitating informed citizenship – yet, how well are they meeting this challenge? Is true impartiality in media reporting a feasible goal, or an idealistic pursuit? How does a quest for impartiality impact the portrayal of significant events, like the 2023 Voice Referendum, and ongoing conflicts such as the Israel-Gaza situation?
This event aims to foster a deeper understanding of the delicate balance media must maintain in providing unbiased information while navigating the complex landscape of public opinion and misinformation.
