Phil O'Donoghue is the National Membership Secretary, elected to that position in 2022. Prior to this he was the WA Convenor and WA National Board representative of Australian Fabians since 2015. He is employed as the Media Officer at UnionsWA and has previously worked as a Ministerial Policy Adviser in the SA Rann, WA Carpenter and Rudd-Gillard Federal Labor Governments in the areas of employment, child protection and communities. Prior to that he worked for many years in direct service delivery and management roles within the not-for-profit community service sector. He has worked the National Coordinator Collaboration for the Australians Research Alliance for Children and Youth and, for four years, as Deputy Director of ACOSS. In his spare time Phil plays tennis and hockey.
